This
garage was inspired by a client who wanted their teenagers to have a space
of their own while keeping them on their own land. They wanted a three-car
garage, one bay for the lawn equipment and tractor, and the other two bays
for cars. The garage doors were designed to look like old barn doors but they
open like a traditional garage door and roll up in sections. The space above
the garage is great for a studio when the kids move on. There is an exterior
set of stairs to get to the second floor. It could function as a caretaker’s
cottage or guest suite if a bathroom was added.
